山あいの自然豊かな環境に建つ保育園にテーブルと椅子をつくりました。限られた予算の中で、ラワン合板とメラミン化粧合板を組み合わせてデザインしました。

KT邸 リノベーション
東京の郊外に建つマンションのリノベーションの設計をしました。全ての壁を撤去し、スケルトン状態とした後、必要な位置に壁を立て、動かすことのできないマンションの設備と折り合いをつけながら、大きなキッチンのあるリビングエリアとご夫婦の寝室、奥様の母親の寝室、水回りを配置しました。

We designed the renovation of an apartment building in the suburbs of Tokyo. After removing all the walls and making it a skeleton state, the walls were put up in the necessary positions.

新しい既製品として丸テーブルをつくりました。
4、5人で食事をするのにほどよい大きさの丸いテーブルです。長方形のテーブルとは違った家族団欒の雰囲気を演出してくれます。

南東向きの大きな窓に収納造作家具をつくりました。窓のサイズにぴったりとあわせて、風景を切り取る額縁のように、下部に開戸の収納と右側に本棚収納を構成しました。

先日、銀座の北欧ヴィンテージ家具を扱うお店で友人Mとフィンユールの家具を観た。Mはコピーライターの仕事をしているが、北欧家具の目利きでありコレクターでもある。

二つの古い家具
ずいぶんと昔の二つの家具が手元にもどってきました。ひとつは15年くらい前に勝又健とつくったダイニングテーブルで、引っ越しで脚のほぞが外れてしまい修理をするために、工房にもどってきました。

Two pieces of old furniture are back at hand. One is a dining table that I made with Ken Katsumata about 15 years ago, and it came back to the workshop to repair because the tenon of the leg came off.

コロナ禍でしばらく開催できなかった植樹祭に3年ぶりに参加しました。ミズナラの苗木4400本を東川町の森に植えました。

I participated in a tree-planting festival that I couldn't hold for a while due to pandemic for the first time in three years. We planted 4,400 saplings of oak tree in the forest of Higashikawa Town.

The Asahikawa Design Center booth was replaced once every three years. This time, our booth is in the area near the entrance on the 1st floor. We are also exhibiting some new furniture such as round table, low boards, wood shelves and horse leg desks.
