ごあいさつ

本年もよろしくお願いいたします。
北海道でのはじめての冬に戸惑いながら、楽しみながら過ごしていたら、あっという間にひと月が過ぎていました。
本州では大雪が続いていますが、今年の東川町は雪が少なく、覚悟していた雪かきもいまのところ無事にこなしています。それでもこの辺りの人たちは口を揃えて、最後は帳尻を合わせるように降るからと言って、春が来るまでは決して雪を甘く見ないようです。
気温も比較的高めでマイナス19°が最低でまだ20°以下にはなっていません。昔はマイナス20°が1週間続くのが当たり前だったようなので、やはり温暖化の影響なのでしょうか。たまに気温が高い日があるので、道路の雪が溶けて氷になってしまい、クルマの運転には苦労しています。運転が億劫なのであまり外出せず、工房でスプーンを削ったり、図面をひいたり、スケッチをしたり、冬の過ごし方を試行錯誤しております。
今年の夏にはADW（旭川デザインウィーク）が開催される予定ですので、それまでにショールームの準備をしたいと意気込んでおります。皆様のお越しをお待ちしております。

One month passed in a blink of an eye while I was confused and enjoyed my first winter in Hokkaido. Heavy snowfall continues in Honshu, but this year's Higashikawa Town has less snow, and snow shoveling has been done safely so far. Still, people around here don't seem to look sweet on the snow until spring comes.
The temperature is also relatively high, with a minimum of -19 ° and not yet below 20 °. In the old days, it seemed natural that -20 ° lasted for a week, so is it due to global warming? Sometimes the temperature is high, so the snow on the road melts and turns into ice, making it difficult to drive a car. I don't go out much because I'm afraid to drive, and I enjoy spending the winter indoors by carving spoons, drawing drawings, and sketching in the studio.
ADW (Asahikawa Design Week) is scheduled to be held this summer, so we are enthusiastic about preparing the showroom by then. We look forward to welcoming you.
