トドマツの家具　その2

トドマツを使ったもう一つの家具は、ビスとステンレス製ボルトを使って組み上げたガーデンテーブルです。東川町でガーデンファニチャーをつくるコロニーヘイブさんとのコラボレーション家具です。公園やキャンプ場などにあるような、テーブルとベンチが一体となった構造で、ピクニックテーブルとも呼ばれるテーブルです。最低限の部材で構成された、これ以上シンプルにできない完成された部材構成の家具で、この家具一つで快適にアウトドアで食事をすることができます。各部材の寸法を、材料の歩留まりや使い勝手を考慮して、注意深く検討してデザインしました。幕板梁の先端の丸い形状がデザインのアクセントとなっています。仕上げは外部用のペンキ塗装のものと、ウッドロングエコと呼ばれる材料を風化させて腐りにくくする天然塗料仕上げの2種類です。

Todomatsu (Sakhalin fir) furniture 2

Another piece of furniture that uses Sakhalin fir is a garden table assembled with screws and stainless steel bolts. This furniture is a collaboration with “Kolonihave” who makes garden furniture in Higashikawa. A picnic table is a structure that combines a table and a bench, such as those found in parks and campgrounds. This furniture is made up of a minimum number of materials and cannot be made any simpler. You can comfortably enjoy outdoor dining with just this piece of furniture. We carefully considered and designed the dimensions of each component, taking into consideration the yield of materials and ease of use. 　The rounded shape of the tip of the beam accentuates the design. There are two types: one with paint for exterior use, and the other with a natural paint finish called Wood Long Eco, which weathers the material and prevents it from rotting.
