E10クラフト宣言

東10号工房のページに東10号工房のものづくりの考え方を短い宣言文として記しました。

わたしたちは機械で短時間に大量につくる家具（プロダクト）ではなく、時間と手間をかけた家具（クラフト）をつくっています。持続可能な家具づくりを模索する中で、森からの広葉樹の供給と家具生産のバランスをとっていくには、ゆっくりと家具をつくる必要があると考えています。

多種多様で高品質な木が、それぞれ少しずつある森が理想的な森だと言われています。わたしたちの家具づくりもそのような森と呼応するよう、多種・少量・高品質を目指しています。

E10 Statement

We do not make furniture (products) that are mass-produced by machines in a short period of time, but we make furniture (crafts) that take time and effort. While searching for sustainable furniture production, we believe that it is necessary to slowly produce furniture in order to balance the supply of hardwood from the forest and furniture production.

It is said that the ideal forest is a forest with a small number of diverse and high-quality trees. We aim to produce a wide variety of products, in small quantities, and with high quality, so that our furniture production also responds to such forests.
