東川の家づくり　その1

アイヌの家「チセ」には「カムイプラヤ=神様の窓」と呼ばれる窓がある。北海道の南岸、日高地方のチセではその窓は東側にあり、北部網走のチセでは南側にある。その土地から見える大きな山の方角に窓を開いたからだそうだ。
アイヌの家にならって、大雪山の連峰が見える東側に窓をつくった。2月26日、マイナス20度の朝、寝袋から目をさますと、朝日を受ける十勝岳を見ることができた。

Kamuy-Puraya

The window of ainu cabin (chise) is called Kamuy-Puraya which means "God's window". The windows are opened to the direction of important mountains in each area. In the morning on Feb. 26th, minus 20 degree, I saw beautiful dawn of Tokachi-dake.
