6年前に千葉の山奥から切り出した楢の木が、そろそろ乾いたよと、旭川の木工所から連絡があった。何枚か削って送ってもらったところ、腐れが入っていたり、割れていたり、状態はあまりよくないけれど、使えるところはありそう。これで何をつくろうか。

Japanese Oak

Six years ago, I cut an oak tree in the forest of Chiba. I heard from the factory in Asahikawa that the drying process has been completed. Some of them can be use for small wood craft. What shall I make with these oak.
