アート（技術）は長く、人生は短い。— ヒポクラテス

ナイフで削ったイエナ（ネズの木）のバターナイフ。ジュニパー=イエナ=ネズの木のいい匂いがしてくる。
手を動かすことが思考を導く。

カール・マルムステンは旅先にナイフと木片を持っていって、いつも木を削っていたらしい。

デザインするため、3次元のかたちを決めるために、自分で木を削ることを始めたいと思った。
作業するうちに木工そのものに、よろこびを感じるようになり、すこしでもうまくなりたいと思うようになった。

アルス（クラフト）、最初の1歩。

Carl Malmsten brought wood piece and knife when he traveled and always carved wood.
I wanted to start wood craft using my own hands to help my designing process to decide the form. The joy of handicraft grows bigger and it makes me wish to become a true craftsman.
